We’re happy to introduce another remarkable thesis leveraging RBF Morph technology: “Advanced Optimization of the WT Model of the RIBES Project” by Domiziano Beltramme.

This thesis develops a fully automated DOE (Design of Experiment) program aimed at structural optimization, built to support the wind tunnel (WT) model for the RIBES project. From the setup of load transfer and finite element models to the creation of a user-customizable, response-surface-based workflow, Domiziano’s work dives into the challenges of CAD and mesh-based optimizations.

Key highlights include:

  • Deep-dive into the RIBES Project: Addressing goals, technical challenges, and modeling parameters.
  • Optimization Strategy: Leveraging RBF interpolation, Latin hypercube for DOE, and seamless analysis for graphical optimization.
  • Real-world Application Cases: Including WT model and connecting rod analysis, showcasing how RBF Morph drives innovation in complex simulations.
