RBF Morph proudly participated in the prestigious AIAS 2024 Conference, held in Naples, Italy. This highly regarded event, organized by the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli,” and Università degli Studi di Salerno, brought together Professors, Researchers, PhD students, and engineers from around the world to explore the latest advancements in stress analysis and mechanical design.
The AIAS Congress, known for its focus on experimental mechanics, mechanics of materials, and numerical models for structural analysis, also covered a wide array of related topics. These included design for reliability, safety of mechanical systems, biomechanics, additive manufacturing, and innovative joining techniques. As always, the event provided an invaluable platform for experts to share their research and collaborate on future innovations.
At this year’s conference, RBF Morph showcased two significant works. The first presentation, “The Payload Design of the Cubesat Solar Polarimeter (CUSP) for Space Weather and Solar Flares X-Ray Polarimetry,” detailed the design of advanced instrumentation for space weather analysis, contributing to greater understanding of solar flares. The second work, “Shape Optimization of Frame Structures through a Mixed Analytical-2D and Numerical-3D Approach,” highlighted cutting-edge methods for optimizing structural frames, offering new perspectives on design strategies.
Both presentations were delivered by our colleague Andrea Lopez on Friday, September 6th, and were met with great interest from attendees. RBF Morph’s participation in AIAS 2024 reinforced its commitment to contributing to the latest developments in structural optimization and mechanical system design.
